Privacy & Data Protection Notice

Last updated: October 2026 • CatchmentScore UK (catchmentscore.co.uk)

1. Overview & Commitment to Family Privacy

At CatchmentScore (operating at catchmentscore.co.uk), we understand that school admissions planning involves sensitive domestic considerations. We adhere strictly to the United Kingdom General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. We operate on a data-minimization principle: we collect only what is strictly necessary to calculate door-to-gate distances and deliver verified reports.

2. What Data We Collect & Lawful Basis

  • Postcodes: When you enter a home postcode, we resolve it to approximate latitude and longitude coordinates solely to execute the straight-line Haversine spatial equation against target school gates. Postcodes are not sold or shared with any commercial third party.
  • Email Address: If you purchase an Admissions Probability Dossier, your email is collected exclusively to dispatch your secure PDF download link and receipt via Resend.
  • Payment Information: All transactions are processed through Stripe Headless Checkout. CatchmentScore never stores or handles credit or debit card numbers on our servers.

3. Open Government Licence & Public Data

School registers, coordinates, unique reference numbers (URNs), and historical allocations are derived from open data published by the Department for Education (DfE) and local authorities under the Open Government Licence v3.0.

4. Your Statutory Data Subject Rights

Under UK data protection laws, you retain the right to request access to, rectification of, or erasure of any personal records held. To request deletion of an order record, email privacy@catchmentscore.co.uk.
